My Boys...

made it to Washington this weekend to back our NFL team but to our dismay, the Skins couldn't pull it off. Dallas lost last night which takes some of the sting out of it. Grandpa Phil and NanaKat are coming down to see me on Halloween, too bad I can't eat candy yet. I will be sure to take plenty of pics though my costume is still being debated. Stay tuned...

Game day
I finally met the Goatman... I have heard so much about this so-called goatman. Not sure why mom and dad call him goatman because he smells pretty good and I saw him eating chicken wings; I know he's not a goat. Anyway, we had a great time watching the Skins game and meeting Dad's college buddy. Go Redskins!!!! Man I can't wait for Goatman to tell me some stories about Dad in college. I'm sure they spent most of their time studying hard and volunteering for charities... my dad is the best!
This was my first real food and boy was it yummy! I had my first taste of banana and i was eating like a pro by the second bite. Mom has been reading up on when to feed and all that jazz so has decided to hold off for another month.. it's not like I'm hurting for more calories (20lbs as of 9/28/08) Man, what a tease...
flea market
I'm just getting around to adding new posts. Life has been pretty busy; me and my p's are always on the go. A few weeks ago we met up with Nanna and Pawpaw in Raleigh. We had a great time shopping around and eating at the flea market. Paw Paw is one funny dude... he was telling me a story about putting Buddy (their dog/youngest son) in the "bud light" model plane and flying over Hertford. Man, that dog has the life...

No pain...
...no gain. Mom and I are going to hit up the gym this morning. This baby fat is cute and all but in order to make a difference in the sad, sad way that my Wolfpack is playing, I am going to have to take the field and do it myself. This Michelin man body won't be all that effective on the gridiron though I have been practicing my moves. This is a picture of me giving Big Bird and Cookie Monster the patented "shake and bake." Man, I almost intimidate myself...

I LOVE BIRTHDAYS
...even when they aren't mine. I mean, I just feel all wild and crazy when I know it is someones birthday and I just want to be a part of the celebration. I had that feeling today. It was in celebration of NanaKat's birthday that I made this little video...I call it, "Suiting Up for the Party!" I hope you have a wonderful birthday NanaKat and I hope to see you soon. We love you! XOXO

Hiatus
I've been taking a break from this whole "blogging" thing. The world is much to large to be stuck in front of a computer, plus it is hard as hell to type with these little hands. Once I get my fill of my surroundings I will return. We are heading to the beach next week and I will surely post pics of that. In the fall when we head back to Charlotte, I'll post much more to keep the Grand-P's happy. I think you can subscribe to this blog and it will let you know when I post. Try it, I might be mistaken. Peace in the middle east.

Up..Up..and Away

Twelve hours from now we will be leaving for the airport. A relatively short flight from here to BWI but on Friday the 13th, it is going to seem like an all day affair. It will be nothing compared to the flights I took to Alaska while in the womb, now THAT was a flight (no view though). So, wish me the best of luck: no stinky aisle sharers, no snotty flight attendants, no airborne flu, no delays, no immature crying babies and no worries. When we get to MD, we will pick up the car, eat dinner, get a nap and head to NC in the morning. See you in northeastern NC!!!

Summertime in the city
Man, is it hot or what? I had a big day yesterday...I went to breakfast at dad's school for a champagne toast in celebration of his schools accreditation and I met some really nice folks. From there, we went and picked up my birth certificate so now I AM OFFICIAL! Dad sold his car and we went to drop that off. I am excited about the new car they are getting...a stationwagon! We are flying to pick it up in Maryland this Friday and I get to meet my great uncle Mike. He is one of dad's great friends and I hear them on the phone all of the time telling jokes and talking bad about gas prices and the government. We had a friend over, Miss Lizzie, and she was very pretty and very nice. She held me for a while but never offered me a nipple, what's up with that? Then we went to have sushi...the place was really loud but I just slept my way through the noise. It was my first restaurant experience and I am glad that mom and dad took me. They needed to get out of the house.
We have many errands to run today. We're heading to mom and dad's hometown this weekend for the summer and I can't wait to meet my cousins and also see what all this talk about Grandma Rose and Grandpa Jim's "play"house is all about. Hopefully I will see some of you all there!

Misunderstanding...
When i was in the womb, my mom and dad would talk to me and say things like, "Jack, come on out, I know it is hot in there" so, now I am out and it is 100 degrees out here. It was 2 degrees cooler tucked inside my mom's belly and the humidity wasn't much different either. I hope my parents don't continue to lie to me in order to coerce me into doing things. I am already hip to the fact that no fairy princess is gonna give me a buck to yank a loose tooth from my gum line. I would rather them say, "Jack, if you don't pull that tooth, all of your other teeth are going to be jumbled up in your mouth and when you smile it will look like your mouth has a built in bottle opener." Though the opener might come in handy, I want some pearly whites, that is half the reason I am gulping down all of this breastmilk--crazy calcium! Anyway, stay cool...I know I won't.

Chicks...
I have heard through the grapevine that some people have been saying that I look like a little chick because of my down-like yellow fuzz but I would like to state for the record, contrary to what you all might think I am nothing like a chick, in fact, read my shirt--chicks dig me!
Anyway, life is going great. Mom loves me and feeds me constantly and dad tries to play catch with me (throws me up and down while mom cringes) and assists in diaper changes but as of now, I am primarily a mommas boy.
I am getting really strong and much bigger. I am up another diaper size! By the way, make sure to vote on my eye color. They probably won't show up for another 2 months (at least) but with dad's hazel and mom's blues, I am interested to see what others think.
Jack's joke of the day--A man walking down the street noticed a little boy trying to reach the doorbell of a house, even when he jumped up, he couldn't quite reach it.
The man decided to be a good Samaritan and help the boy. After he walked up on to the porch and pushed the doorbell for the lad, he smiled and asked, "What now?" The boy answered, "Now we run like hell you old geezer!"
